Chief Diversity Officer Mimi Kurniawan of Zyn parent company Philip Morris said that her goal is “establishing DEI at the heart of our organization.” Her sentiments echo those of predecessor Silke Muenster, who views making people “uncomfortable” as part of her role in promoting DEI.

DEI has become a core tenet of the organization; they tout DEI Ambassadors on social media and in DEI videos explaining why such woke indoctrination is a top priority for the company. One video states, “We have set ourselves very ambitious targets being more diverse in terms of gender in terms of nationalities …”

Philip Morris has been aggressive in meeting its DEI targets which mandate at least 40% female representation in management. Not stopping there, it doubled down on its unfair and potentially illegal gender-based hiring practices by establishing a new quota of 35% of senior roles to be filled by women by 2025.
To ensure that their boardrooms continue to be dominated by woke policies, Philip Morris drastically increased political donations to groups that want to inject political indoctrination into the business place. In the 2024 election cycle, Philip Morris and its employees donated $168,490 to Democratic candidates and committees, while only donating $13,589 to Republicans, including a $100,000 contribution to the Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association.

Philip Morris also pushes gender ideology on its customers. Philip Morris partners with Stonewall, an organization which aims to promote a LGBTQ+ lifestyle among children and young people. Stonewall also encourages teachers to indoctrinate students on LGBTQ+ topics and incorporate it in their curriculum.

The company also sponsored a LGBTQ+ summit featuring the Trevor Project’s CEO. The Trevor Project is a LGBTQ+ youth organization that offers an anonymous online chat forum that has already faced criticism for providing a platform in which adults can communicate to minors about sexuality. This platform requires no age verification and allows children to participate without their parents’ knowledge.
