Companies and Leftist politicians want to gaslight consumers into believing they had nothing to do with forcing Woke on Americans, with even Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently joking about “Woke 1” being “crazy.” But those politicians can’t hide their history of pushing woke policies and antics. Woke may be sleeping, but it’s far from dead.
7Eleven, Carhartt, DraftKings, Duluth Trading Co, Traeger, Bank of America, BlackRock, and Nike are evidence Woke is still alive and well in corporate America.

Despite national trends in the opposite direction, Carhartt still focuses on pushing ESG and participates in Cascale, a nonprofit working to “combat climate change,” to track all social and environmental performance at the company.

While the woke activity of the above popular companies may surprise some, the relentless activism of woke corporate giants like Bank of America, BlackRock, and Nike should shock no one. Here’s how they’ve been busy:
Bank of America
Bank of America, which has previously been blasted by Consumers’ Research, is still devoted to a radical climate agenda, and in accordance with the Paris Climate Agreement (of which the U.S. is no longer a part), it aims to achieve net zero emissions before 2050. Bank of America also committed to mobilize $1 trillion by 2030 to expedite the transition to a low-carbon economy.

In the company’s 2025 Sustainability report, it claims that Bank of America is committed to net-zero and expects its clients to reduce emissions. The report states: “One of the ways we measure and monitor progress on supporting client and sector transition is through our 2030 Financing Activity targets. We have set 2030 targets (aligned with our Net Zero Goal) for seven sectors – auto manufacturing, aviation, cement, energy, power generation, iron and steel and maritime shipping – that track emissions intensity of clients in these sectors.”

BlackRock
BlackRock, which has long been the power generator for the woke agenda, claims to have rolled back its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies, but in reality just moved its DEI program under its “Talent and Culture” department. According to reporting, “The combined talent and culture team will be co-led by BlackRock’s Global Head of Talent Management Nick Avery and Director and Global Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Michelle Gadsden-Williams, according to the memo.”

BlackRock’s Global Talent and Culture claims, “Creating a connected and inclusive culture where people with new ideas and fresh perspectives can thrive is core to our 1BLK principle,” and “inclusion is the foundation of our culture.”

BlackRock also includes DEI-esque statistics on its website and uses language such as “sex (including pregnancy and gender identity/expression), sexual orientation… genetic information…” when discussing its anti-discrimination hiring standards. It also hosts employee networks which include: “Black professionals and allies network,” “SOMOS Latinx and allies network,” and “Out & allies network.”

Nike
Consumers’ Research has also blasted Nike in the past for prioritizing a woke agenda. Today, the company still continues to push woke policies like allowing men to play in women’s sports through campaigns like “Be True.”

Nike’s Be True Collection proclaims on its website: “All identities, bodies, and communities have the right to pursue their health and wellness goals safely, without concern or judgment,” and showcases transgender models.

Nike’s No Pride No Sport is an initiative that targets children and hopes to “make sport available to everyone, everywhere.” It adds: “We’re continuing our commitment to helping shape a strong culture of LGBTQIA+ belonging and visibility in sport.”

This campaign includes partnerships with the Gender Cool Project, which Consumers’ Research has exposed for promoting transgender ideology to kids.

Nike also funded a study advocating for transgender athletes in sports, including biological men in women’s competition, which was later stopped due to significant public backlash.
