WOKE ALERT: DISH Network

DISH is pushing a Woke Agenda. Are they DISH Network or DISH NetWOKE?

DISH Network, a household cable television and internet services provider, has betrayed its customers by bowing to the woke agenda and peddling policies focused on gender ideology, DEI, and climate activism.

The company has gone so far it has openly embraced indoctrination, holding a “hack your biased brain” training that taught participants “being on a diverse & inclusive team is being on a winning team” and to “use the triple AAA with inclusion: ally, amplify, advocate.”

On its now-deleted diversity, equity, and inclusion page, DISH stated that it is “committed to embracing a diverse, equitable and inclusive workspace where all team members thrive.” DISH implemented “five strategic pillars of focus” to promote their DEI agenda: 1) Recruiting, 2) Data and Analytics, 3) Learning and Development, 4) Talent Identification and Development, and 5) Organizational Processes.

DISH has various employee resource groups, including Out at DISH, African American Network at DISH, and the DISH Women’s Impact Network. Though DISH deleted its DEI page, these employee resource groups are still listed as part of the Collective program on the DISH Cares page. Collective is a platform for DISH’s “employee-led diversity networks and interest groups.”

Each of these employee resource groups has social media pages whose content reveals DISH’s true colors.

Out at DISH describes itself as an “LGBTQ+ employee organization to support LGBTQ+ individuals and allies in their career progression at DISH/Sling. This past year, it recommended followers read The Trevor Project’s “Coming Out Handbook,” a textbook that brainwashes kids with woke material explaining the “differences between gender identity, sex assigned at birth, and sexual orientation.”

In 2022, Out at DISH warned its Instagram followers to “stop assuming someone’s gender,” saying “It’s time to let go of Sir/Ma’am” and encouraged them to offer and ask for pronouns immediately when meeting someone.

Out at DISH also urged employees to “take some time to learn more about the transgender community and how you can become an ally” to celebrate transgender day of visibility.

Out at DISH also flaunted its wokeness on “Transgender Parent Day” praising both transgender children and transgender parents.

DISH’s Licensing Program Manager, a biological male, bragged how he had convinced DISH to start covering sex-change procedures through its medical benefits plan. So, DISH customers, your dollars are going towards helping DISH employees change their sex.

DISH’s African American Network (AAN) posted reels advertising far-left-wing propaganda. One included an infographic saying, “police originated as a force to capture escaped slaves.”

One AAN reel included a post titled “things not to say to a trans person.”

AAN was founded by DISH’s current Human Resources Manager, Whitney Bryant. Whitney’s LinkedIn bio line proudly proclaims herself as a “Diversity Advocate.” Previously, Whitney oversaw recruiting at DISH.

The DISH Women’s Network (DWN) posted on Instagram, “getting pronouns correct and respecting others’ gender identities is so important,” and included multiple tips on how to get pronouns right, including “get in the habit of interrupting people with a quick correction.”

In 2020, DWN led a panel discussion on inclusion in tech where employees were encouraged to recognize their unconscious biases, have conversations about diversity, and create atmospheres where all cultures are celebrated.

DISH’s woke behavior is corroborated by outside voices, too. In 2024, DISH was recognized by Built In as one of the best places to work in the United States – an award that’s heavily weighted by a company’s DEI programs. In 2025, the infamous Human Rights Campaign (HRC) awarded DISH a high score of 90. DISH met HRC’s requirements of imposing four LGBTQ+ internal propaganda sessions, sex-change guidelines, and LGBTQ+ resource groups.

DISH Network offers the first streaming LGBTQ+ video service called Here TV. Here TV is a 24/7 LGBTQ+ streaming service formed to twist traditional TV programs to reflect LGBTQ+ values. MyDISH advertises a whole web page for Here TV.

In 2024, DISH partnered with ARC, an organization determined to infiltrate every classroom worldwide with its climate propaganda. The partnership was a scheme to brainwash students about the “harmful impacts of e-waste on health and the environment.”

DISH’s Hispanic employee resource group chided its members to “shrink your foodprint” and take a pledge to eat fewer animal products, alongside other green commitments.

Charles and Cantey Ergen, the founders of DISH, are major donors to Democratic candidates and entities, including the Hillary Victory Fund, the Democratic National Committee, and the Harris Victory Fund. Charles Ergen is also the founder of DISH’s parent company, EchoStar, and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Charles Ergen’s donor activity sparked controversy in 2024 when the Biden administration’s Department of Justice dropped a $3.3 billion fraud suit against DISH after he donated $113,000 to Biden’s reelection efforts. The DOJ’s move to dismiss the case came weeks before the agency planned to depose Ergen.

Furthermore, Cantey Ergen served as a member of the board of trustees at Children’s Hospital Colorado from 2001 to 2012 and is now an honorary lifetime member. The Telluray Foundation, which the Ergens founded, donated more than $3 million to the Children’s Hospital of Colorado Foundation since 2018.

Notably, Children’s Hospital of Colorado (CHC) was ranked number ten on the Stop the Harm Database’s Dirty Dozen of children’s hospitals performing sex-change operations on minors. CHC only stopped performing sex-change procedures in February 2025, and in June, it was reported that CHC was one of three children’s hospitals being investigated by the FBI for alleged genital mutilation of children.
