NORTH FACE BAITS CUSTOMERS TO SUBMIT TO RACIAL REEDUCATION PROGRAM

No longer content on limiting controversial DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) training to just their employees, woke executives at outdoor clothing retailer North Face are dangling 20% discounts to consumers who subject themselves to a radical racial reeducation program called the “Allyship in the Outdoors” course.
Consumers with “white privilege” are lectured that their “race and skin colour can give [them] access to the outdoors when others can be excluded because of historic, enduring racism and biases.” The training informs participants that there are “few people of colour outdoors” because “the system in itself creates those barriers to participation.” The implication is that DEI-enlightened (yet still-privileged) white people can ensure “equity in the outdoors” for minorities.
While many corporations are reexamining the practice of race-based hiring and decision-making, especially in the aftermath of the 2023 Supreme Court decision striking down race-based affirmative action, North Face is doubling down.
