Nike Publicly Celebrates Women, Privately Makes Their Lives Hell

A Nike ad marking International Women’s Day proclaimed “One day, we won’t need a day to celebrate how far we’ve come,” and that “We won’t need a day to prove we’re just as strong and fast and skilled.”

 

 

But internal documents reveal shocking complaints of sex discrimination, harassment and a large gender pay gap.

Hundreds of enslaved Uyghur Muslim women have been forced to produce shoes in one of Nike’s factories in Taekwang, China, showing Nike doesn’t care about women at home or abroad.
