Agribusiness Land O’Lakes is overflowing with DEI and ESG policies. From the needless removal of the iconic Native American woman from its label to racial hiring quotas, and carbon emission tracking, Land O’ Lakes has gone full woke.

At Land O’Lakes, DEI goes well beyond the hiring stage. Once an employee is hired, he or she is required to attend unconscious bias training. The company also holds quarterly learning series on cultural competencies and annual DEI summits and partners with nonprofits that promote DEI.

Land O’ Lakes also highlights top scores received from the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index, emphasizing the important partnership between HR and DEI teams.

Land O’Lakes also touts its “industry-leading” ESG efforts with its “Dairy 2025 Commitments which require the company’s 1,200+ dairy producers and contractors to complete an on-farm environmental impact assessment and calculate their “milk emission factor” to help track emission reductions.

They also participates in a number of climate groups including the CGF Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative and the UN New Plastics Economy Global Commitment to “develop a benchmark process” to monitor progress.

Not content to stop there, Land O’Lakes also partnered with other companies to mandate ESG practices on Land O’Lakes member dairy farms in Pennsylvania.

One of the organizations Land O’ Lakes partnered with to push this woke ideology also believes that environmental resilience requires social justice.

Land O’ Lakes even found a way to combine ESG and DEI goals through an employee group called the Green Team. This team became an official DEI partner with Land O’ Lakes and is focused on sustainability engagement and education events for employees.
