In a recent article, CNBC reported on the release of a new device called the Buddy Ohm, which “measures the consumption of electricity, gas, water, steam and solar power generation in buildings and public infrastructure.” Currently, the device is targeted toward medium to large businesses, but the company expects to develop a product for consumers to monitor home energy use in the near future.
