Most health care consumers have been in a situation where their cost of care was higher than expected. A staggering percent (more than 75%) said that, had they known the cost of care beforehand, they would have done something different.

HealthSparq commissioned a study by Blue Research to survey 600 health care consumers to understand the gap between the concern of cost of care and the low usage of online shopping tools to manage health care costs, and factors for consumer engagement. We will report on the current state of consumers’ awareness and use of online tools to find care options and their costs. We will also reveal what consumers say would drive them to use these online tools, as well as become a frequent user.
