One of the biggest challenges facing those looking to obtain employment in the federal government is the application process. Known for being cumbersome and difficult to understand, many applicants outside the federal sector do not realize how they can unintentionally exclude their application from the process through the quality of the information presented.
Dr. Johari Rashad, of JMR Training Solutions, a retired Federal Human Resources Specialist with over 30 years of HR experience in Training and career development is hosting a monthly Federal Resume and Job Search Workshop starting April 19, 2015 from 10 AM – 2 PM. This workshop is designed to teach attendees how to create an effective federal resume, how to successfully complete additional application paperwork and how to navigate the often-confusing federal government hiring process. Participants are able to schedule more personalized one-on-one training for an additional fee.
Dr. Rashad believes that once jobseekers properly learn how to create their own government resumes, they will never need to pay anyone to create one for them again. “No one can sell you like you!” is the mantra that Dr. Rashad uses with her clients to explain how they are the best person to describe and represent themselves.
